Communication Struggles

Breaking the cycle of constant arguments, misunderstandings, and feeling unheard at home.

Parent-Child Conflict

Restoring balance when power struggles and defiance have replaced cooperation and warmth.

Life Transitions

Supporting families through divorce, remarriage, relocation, blended family adjustment or other changes in family structure.

Grief and Trauma

A supportive space for families to process painful experiences, heal together, and rebuild a sense of safety.

Sibling Conflict

A Calm Space for the Whole Family

Family therapy is about more than just solving problems—it's about creating a safe, neutral space where everyone feels heard. We work together to uncover the patterns that keep your family stuck, building practical communication skills and emotional resilience that help your home feel like a sanctuary again, even through life's biggest transitions.

"My goal is to help your family find its way back to connection, where conflict is replaced by understanding and stress is handled with collective strength."

How Family Therapy Works

Free Consultation

We will meet online for 15 - 45 minutes to talk about what is happening in your family and decide if I am the right fit for your needs.

Initial Family Intake

During our first intake session, we will dive deeper into your family history, dynamics, and the specific goals you want to achieve together.

Ongoing Sessions

We will meet regularly online to practice new ways of communicating, resolving conflict, and supporting one another in real time.

Why private pay can feel simpler

  • More privacy around your care
  • Less insurance paperwork
  • No waiting on insurance approval
  • More flexibility in what you focus on
  • A clearer session fee from the start
  • Care decisions stay between you and your therapist

Why some clients choose cash-pay for therapy

Some clients choose to pay privately because they want therapy to feel more personal, flexible, and focused on what they actually need rather than what an insurance plan may require.

Reimbursement depends on your individual insurance plan. You can contact your insurance company to ask about out of network mental health benefits.

Does Dr. Mivshek take insurance

Dr. Mivshek is an out of network provider and does not bill insurance directly. Sessions are self pay. Credit and HSA/FSA cards or payment links may be used, and monthly superbills are available for clients who want to submit for possible out of network reimbursement.
