Collaborative Care
Support for Parents Too
You are the expert on your child. In our work together, your involvement isn't just encouraged—it's essential. We work together to ensure you feel supported, equipped, and confident in navigating your child's growth and well-being from the comfort of your home.
Evidence-Based Approaches
Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT)
The gold-standard for helping children and teens recover from trauma, grief, or significant life stress. Through coping skills, gradual exposure, and caregiver involvement, children learn to process difficult experiences and losses and build resilience.Â
Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT)
The gold-standard treatment for young children with behavioral and emotional challenges. Parents receive real-time coaching through an earbud as they interact with their child, building a stronger relationship and more effective parenting skills.Â
Parent-Child Care
(PC-CARE)
A brief structured intervention for children ages 1-10 and their caregivers. Through guided interactions and real-time coaching, families build cooperation, emotional regulation, and connection while strengthening the parent-child relationship.
Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE)
A parent-based treatment for childhood anxiety and OCD. Rather then focusing on changing the child, SPACE helps parents respond supportively while gradually reducing accommodations that may unintentionally maintain anxiety. Incorporates exposure-based strategies for anxiety and OCD.
Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP)
A relationship-based treatment for children birth to age 5 and their caregivers. CPP focuses on strengthening the parent-child bond and addressing the impact of trauma, grief, or adversity on early development. Â
Family Behavior Therapy (FBT)
A structured, family-centered approach for addressing behavioral challenges at home. Uses FBT principles to strengthen family connection, reduce conflict, and build practice skills that create real change at home.Â
Every approach is tailored to your child’s unique personality, development, and needs. During our first sessions, we will discuss which and how these methods might best support your family's goals.
Why private pay can feel simpler

- Less insurance paperwork
- No waiting on insurance approval
- More flexibility in what you focus on

Why some clients choose Direct pay for therapy
Some clients choose to pay privately because they want therapy to feel more personal, flexible, and focused on what they actually need rather than what an insurance plan may require.
Reimbursement depends on your individual insurance plan. You can contact your insurance company to ask about out of network mental health benefits.

Dr. Mivshek is an out of network provider and does not bill insurance directly. Sessions are self pay. Credit, HSA, and FSA cards may be used, and monthly superbills are available for clients who want to submit for possible out of network reimbursement.
