Why Clients May Choose to Pay Privately for Therapy

Cash pay therapy can feel more straightforward for clients who want privacy, flexibility, and care decisions that stay between them and their therapist.

More Privacy

Your therapy does not require direct billing through insurance for each session.

Fewer Insurance Requirements

Care is not built around insurance approvals, diagnosis rules, or session limits.

Clear Session Fee

You will always have full visibility of cost before you begin, so there aren't any unexpected financial surprises.

Flexible Focus

Sessions can focus on what matters most to you, your child, or your family.

Superbills, explained simply

A superbill is a detailed receipt that includes the information many insurance companies request for out-of-network reimbursement. Dr. Mivshek can provide a monthly superbill for clients who want to submit one to their insurance plan.

Reimbursement depends on your individual insurance plan.

A superbill may include:
  • Provider information
  • Session dates
  • Service codes
  • Diagnosis information when required
  • Amount paid
  • Client information
Why cash pay may be a good fit:
  • A simpler payment process
  • More privacy around your care
  • Clear session pricing
  • Care that is not shaped by insurance approvals
  • The option to submit superbills yourself
